At the intake appointment, the counselor asked us questions about our history. Kevin led the narrative, but I had to correct him, either silently or aloud. He doesn't remember. Events that scarred me or shaped us, and he doesn't even remember.
I shouldn't be surprised. Kevin has a terrible memory, and even I remember the past differently from how it happened, as evidenced by my recent journal reading.
Still, the past is the part that I thought we'd agree on, at least. It is the future where we encounter conflict.
