keeping up

I feel a little overwhelmed this semester. Surprisingly, I am not talking about my school work. I am taking 18 credits and working 25 hours a week, but so far I have managed to do all my reading. Yes, I know it's stupidly optimistic on the third day to say that homework's no sweat, but looking at my breaks between classes, etc. I think I will be able to keep up.

What frustrates me is my inability to talk about it all.

I want to share everything from every class. I learn such interesting things! But I'm too busy learning them to tell anyone, except Nora, who, alas for her, is present for my every caprice. No journal writing, no blogging, no phone calls to Ted, whose calls I have missed repeatedly. And the longer I wait to communicate any of this, the less important such things become, e.g. a joke told in class, or the comment I made that impressed people, or the girl on my shift who hates me, or the discussion on definitions of family.

I don't know what to do!

I miss you so much Audrey! I've been thinking about you a lot lately, wondering how you're doing back in Happy Valley. I know I just saw you a few weeks ago but it really feels like FOREVER.

Of course, anything more than a few hours feels like too much time away. :)

You could talk to me ... maybe someday I'll come out of hiding ... maybe today ... who knows ... but if you want to talk, I really want to listen.
